Cornwall Scrubs launched in April 2020 in response to the COVID-19 crisis.
‘For the love of scrubs’ was formed by Ashleigh Linsdell, an emergency nurse, after identifying to shortage in supply for scrubs to frontline NHS staff during the 2020 COVID-19 Epidemic. The cry for help became a national movement over night with regional groups forming to help make scrubs for NHS staff and healthcare workers.
Cornwall Scrubs, led by Annie Lucas and a team of volunteers, has sewing and distribution volunteers across the county all working towards ensuring that the NHS staff and healthcare workers in Cornwall have access to scrubs if PPE has not been provided.

How can I request scrubs?
**UPDATE** With the easing of lockdown rules and the gradual return to work we are unable to produce at the volume we have been. As a result we are now only able to fulfil from surplus stock so cannot guarantee specific sizes and colours. You can still log your order and we will message you to let you know if we can fulfil in part or in full and in what way.
We are a fully volunteer team dedicating our spare time to create scrubs for the NHS as such this is a request rather than an order. We do not hold stock and are making scrubs as fast as we can. We kindly ask all requesters to consider what is ESSENTIAL in terms of quantities (e.g. no multiple items per person).
Please head over to our registration page to create an account and place a request. You will also be able to log back in at any time to see the progress of your request under the ‘My Requests’ section.
We now have 650 volunteers logged wanting to sew, deliver and offer their skills and time to ensure Cornwall Scrubs successfully helps our NHS and care workers which is tremendous! However, from 15 April we made the difficult decision to pause on taking on more volunteers. If the situation changes we will open up registration again and I will be sure to let you know. We thank you enormously for your willingness to take part. We are staggered and grateful for the huge groundswell of support and know that our Health Care Workers feel the same.
